Online Energy Monitoring Alerts And Triggers
Many kinds of alerts and triggers can be built into an online ELECTRICITY MONITORING SYSTEM dashboard or mobile application. Such as those sent via email, SMS or used to activate an event such as switching on / off a device.
See TRIGGERING FOR EVENTS with our NEW SMART Solar Power Dashboard.
Worldwide Solar Power / Consumption Energy Monitoring Setup Service
We can add your solar power or consumption data easily to PVOutput. If you already have your solar power data on PVOutput, we can add the consumption data. Easily see your import / export in a Net metered environment.
We offer you this service when:
-
You want to connect your new / existing compatible electricity monitoring system to PVOutput
-
You already have your solar inverters data via blue tooth / wifi on PVOutput and are looking for the consumption, import / export data
See our SERVICES page for more information.
All of our Aussie Home Energy Monitoring Solutions are suited for data transmission to PVOutput, thus allowing the following alerts and triggers to be activated. Our online energy monitoring solutions all include hardware and dashboard testing and configuration.
Email Alerts For Instant Notification
The following types of system email alerts are available :
- Idle System Alert
- Low Output Alert
- High Usage Alert
- Performance Alert
- Standby Cost Alert
- High Net Alert
- Low Net Alert
Solar System Idle Alert
This alert is activated when your Solar System has not sent an update within a specified time period.
Idle alerts are useful for detecting problems with the uploading of data to PVOutput, or where your Solar PV System may have shutdown for any unknown reason, requiring urgent attention.
Alert Options
On [ ] Off [ ] Select time 15M [ ] 30M [ ] 60M [ ] 90M [ ]
Low Solar System Output Alert
This alert is activated when your Solar System power generation drops below a specified power amount.
Low output alerts are useful for detecting generation performance issues or where consumption is preventing an idle alert from firing, though generation has ceased.
On [ ] Off [ ] Watts [0000] 15M [ ] 30M [ ] 45M [ ] From [00:00] to [00:00] (hh:mm)
High Usage Consumption Alert
This alert is activated when your power consumption exceeds a specified power amount.
High usage alerts are useful in detecting excessive consumption.
On [ ] Off [ ] Watts [0000] 15M [ ] 30M [ ] 45M [ ] From [00:00] to [00:00] (hh:mm)
Performance Alert
This alert is activated when your solar energy generation under performs another PVOutput Solar System by a given percentage.
Performance alerts can detect if a system is under performing due to hardware issues.
On [ ] Off [ ] % Difference up to -50% [ ] Compared with PVO System id [ ]
Standby Cost Alert
This alert is activated when the cost of standby (always-on) power consumption, exceeds a specified amount in local currency.
The cost of standby power is calculated using the system tariff and Time of Use (TOU) information if available. Standby cost alerts are useful in detecting household appliances which have been left on accidentally.
On [ ] Off [ ] $ [0000]
High Net Alert
This alert is activated when the calculated net power, being generation minus consumption, exceeds the specified power amount.
High net alerts are useful for detecting excess generation which should be consumed instead of exported at a low feed in tariff. Upon a high net alert trigger, consumption may be increased to use excess generation.
On [ ] Off [ ] Watts [0000] 15M [ ] 30M [ ] 45M [ ] From [00:00] to [00:00] (hh:mm)
See TRIGGERING FOR EVENTS for more information on SMART Solar Power.
Low Net Alert
This alert is activated when the calculated net power, being generation minus consumption, falls below the specified power amount.
Low net alerts are useful for detecting excess import. Upon a low net alert trigger, consumption should be reduced if possible.
On [ ] Off [ ] Watts [0000] 15M [ ] 30M [ ] 45M [ ] From [00:00] to [00:00] (hh:mm)
A donation of $10 per year to PVOutput will activate the above email alerts. This additionally helps to ensure PVOutput remains a independent and importantly ever growing online energy monitoring service.
Triggering For Events
Using a trigger can be very useful to create an event. Primarily such a trigger as the Solar Excess Export trigger, to create such an event to switch on / off an appliance on auto pilot.
See our SMART SOLAR POWER triggering dashboard.
